A lifelong passion for psychology, anthropology and social justice has led Emily to this privileged profession, helping others to work through difficulty, find fulfillment and to live more abundantly.
With over 10 years experience, Emily is a fully registered Psychologist working in the inner north of Melbourne with individual adults, including those from multicultural, neurodiverse and LGBTQIA+ communities.
Emily believes that a non-judgemental, safe and supportive therapeutic environment is fundamental to providing relief, hope and change. Her clients praise her for being a warm, kind, genuine, compassionate, and insightful psychologist.
Emily’s work integrates current research, theory and clinical knowledge for the purpose of understanding and relieving psychological distress and promoting personal development. She has extensive expertise in psychological assessment and the practice of scientifically validated psychotherapy techniques and can work collaboratively with GPs, Psychiatrists or multi-disciplinary care teams.
Her approach is integrative, collaborative and tailored and utilises several evidence based models to help her clients find their own unique process of transformation. These include Humanistic, Existential, Narrative, Psycho-dynamic, Trauma Informed, Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Focusing Oriented Therapy (FOT).
Emily has worked in a variety of settings including in Private Practice, Not for Profits, Community settings, Education, and at Headspace.
